Remarks
Updated text:5 December 2005
Updated sample code:5 December 2005
Each NotificationClassProtocol has a parent NotificationClass. You typically supply the parent object when you create the NotificationClassProtocol using the NotificationClassProtocol(NotificationClass,String) constructor.
If you set the parent in the constructor, do not set the parent using this property. Setting the parent twice throws an exception.
Example
The following examples show how to set the Parent property when using the default constructor:
// Define a protocol for notification delivery and set properties.
NotificationClassProtocol fileProtocol =
new NotificationClassProtocol();
fileProtocol.Name = "File";
fileProtocol.Parent = flightNotifications;
fileProtocol.FailuresBeforeEventLog = 1;
fileProtocol.FailureEventLogInterval = new TimeSpan(0, 0, 0);
fileProtocol.FailuresBeforeAbort = 20;
fileProtocol.MulticastRecipientLimit = 100;
fileProtocol.WorkItemTimeout = new TimeSpan(0, 15, 0);
' Define a protocol for notification delivery and set properties.
Dim fileProtocol As NotificationClassProtocol = _
New NotificationClassProtocol()
fileProtocol.Name = "File"
fileProtocol.Parent = flightNotifications
fileProtocol.FailuresBeforeEventLog = 1
fileProtocol.FailureEventLogInterval = New TimeSpan(0, 0, 0)
fileProtocol.FailuresBeforeAbort = 20
fileProtocol.MulticastRecipientLimit = 100
fileProtocol.WorkItemTimeout = New TimeSpan(0, 15, 0)
