InstanceDatabaseOptions.DefaultFileGroup Property

Gets or sets the default filegroup for the instance database.

Property Value

A String containing name of the default filegroup.

Remarks

The default filegroup must be the name of one of the InstanceDatabaseFileGroup objects for this instance. Any instance object without a specified filegroup is created in the default filegroup. If you do not specify a default filegroup, the default is PRIMARY.

Example

The following examples show how to set the default filegroup for an instance database:

idb.DefaultFileGroup = "PRIMARY";
idb.DefaultFileGroup = "PRIMARY"
