How to: Configure the c2 audit mode Option (SQL Server Management Studio)

Enabling the c2 audit mode option configures the server to record both failed and successful attempts to access statements and objects. Recording this information can help you profile system activity and track possible security policy violations.

Note

The C2 security standard has been superseded by Common Criteria.

To configure the c2 audit mode option

  1. In Object Explorer, right-click a server, and then select Properties.

  2. Select the Security page.

  3. Select the Enable C2 audit tracing check box.
