How to: Add or Delete a Measure Group
You work with measure groups in a cube by using the Cube Structure view in Cube Designer, which you can access from Business Intelligence Development Studio.
To add a measure group to a cube
In Solution Explorer, right-click the cube, and then click View Designer.
In Cube Designer, click the Cube Structure tab.
Either click the New Measure Group button, or right-click anywhere in the Measures pane and then click New Measure Group.
In New Measure Group, click the table from the data source view that you want to use as the new measure group, and then click OK.
To remove a measure group from a cube
In Solution Explorer, right-click the cube, and then click View Designer.
In Cube Designer, click the Cube Structure tab.
In the Measures pane, click the measure group that you want to remove.
Either click the Delete button, or right-click the measure group and then click Delete.
In the Delete Objects dialog box, review the object to be deleted, and then click OK.
