How to: View and Print Reports

You can create a report on the history or current status of files in the currently loaded solution. You can also preview the report, and then send the report to a printer, a file, or the Clipboard. These reports are not generated by SQL Server 2005 Reporting Services (SSRS). Instead, Microsoft Visual SourceSafe generates the report.

To create a history report

  1. In Solution Explorer, select the file.

  2. On the File menu, point to Source Control, and click History.

  3. In the History of <File or Project> dialog box, click Report.

  4. In the History Report dialog box, select the appropriate options, and then click OK.

For more information about the options you can specify when retrieving the history of a file, see How to: View File History.

To create a status report

  1. In Solution Explorer, select the file.

  2. On the File menu, point to Source Control, and click SourceSafe Properties.

  3. In the File Status dialog box, click Report.

  4. In the File Properties Report dialog box, click the appropriate options, and then click OK.

For more information about the options you can specify when retrieving file status, see How to: View File Status.
