Snapshot Share Access
The Snapshot Share Access page of the Configure Web Synchronization Wizard lets you specify the location of a snapshot folder if you plan to use SQL Server merge replication. The snapshot folder holds the snapshot files that contain the schema and data for published tables.
Options
Share
Specify a Universal Naming Convention (UNC) path for a snapshot share. Administrative shares are not supported. Depending on the virtual directory authentication that is selected, the appropriate Microsoft Windows user accounts require Read permission on the snapshot share. A folder or share cannot be created by using the Configure Web Synchronization Wizard. It must already exist. You can either type the network path of the snapshot share or click Browse to find it.
Important
If your snapshot is configured for FTP only, this step is not required. Go back to the Anonymous Access page or the Directory Access page, depending on whether you selected anonymous access or authenticated access, and clear the snapshot share check box.
