How to: Enable an Instance of Notification Services (SQL Server Management Studio)
Enabling an instance of Notification Services allows all enabled components hosted by the instance to run.
The following procedure shows how to enable an instance of Notification Services from Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio.
To enable an instance of Notification Services
In Object Explorer, expand the Notification Services node.
Right-click the instance and select Enable.
Note
In SQL Server Management Studio, you can also enable an instance when you create it.
