Remarks

Support for transformable subscription is deprecated and will be removed in a future release. This feature should not be used in new development work. Transforming published data requires the SQL Server 2000 Data Transformation Services (DTS) runtime and only supports packages created in SQL Server 2000. The runtime is available if you upgrade from SQL Server 2000, or if you select to install it during setup.

The DtsPackagePassword property is only needed if the DTS package is password protected.

The DtsPackagePassword always returns an empty string.

You must enable the AllowDtsTransformation property on the Attributes property for the publication and set the DtsPackageName property before you set DtsPackagePassword.

The DtsPackagePassword property can only be set by members of the sysadmin fixed server role or by members of the db_owner fixed database role.

Setting DtsPackagePassword is equivalent to executing sp_addpushsubscription_agent (Transact-SQL) or sp_change_subscription_properties (Transact-SQL).

The DtsPackagePassword property is available with SQL Server 2000 and SQL Server 2005.

This namespace, class, or member is supported only in version 2.0 of the .NET Framework.

Thread Safety

Any public static (Shared in Microsoft Visual Basic) members of this type are thread safe. Any instance members are not guaranteed to be thread safe.
