Setting.IsPassword Property

Indicates whether the setting value should be returned in calls to the SOAP API.

Namespace: Microsoft.ReportingServices.Interfaces
Assembly: Microsoft.ReportingServices.Interfaces (in microsoft.reportingservices.interfaces.dll)

Syntax

'Declaration
Public Property IsPassword As Boolean
public bool IsPassword { get; set; }
public:
property bool IsPassword {
    bool get ();
    void set (bool value);
}
/** @property */
public boolean get_IsPassword ()

/** @property */
public void set_IsPassword (boolean value)
public function get IsPassword () : boolean

public function set IsPassword (value : boolean)

Property Value

A Boolean value indicating whether the setting value should be returned in calls to the SOAP API.

Remarks

A value of true indicates that the setting value should not be returned in any SOAP responses resulting from calls to the SOAP API; otherwise, false.

If the IsPassword property is set to a value of true, then the report server does not return the value of the setting in any SOAP API call that results in settings being returned (for example, calls to the GetSubscriptionProperties and ListSubscriptions methods).

ms155158.security(en-US,SQL.90).gifSecurity Note:
The report server does not encrypt setting values by default, regardless of the value for the IsPassword property. The Encrypted property of the extension parameter must also be set to a value of true to encrypt the extension parameter value in the report server database.

Thread Safety

Any public static (Shared in Microsoft Visual Basic) members of this type are thread safe. Any instance members are not guaranteed to be thread safe.
