MergePublication.MaxConcurrentDynamicSnapshots Property

Gets or sets the maximum number of concurrent Snapshot Agent sessions supported when generating data snapshots when the publication has a parameterized row filter.

Property Value

An Int32 value. When 0, there is no limit to the number of concurrent filtered data snapshot sessions that can run simultaneously against the publication at any given time

Remarks

If more than the maximum number of snapshot processes are scheduled to run at the same time, the outstanding jobs are placed in a queue until a currently-running snapshot process is complete.

The MaxConcurrentDynamicSnapshots property can be retrieved by members of the db_owner or replmonitor fixed database roles on the publication database or by members of the publication access list (PAL) for the publication.

The MaxConcurrentDynamicSnapshots property can be set by members of the sysadmin fixed server role at the Publisher. It can also be set by members of the db_owner fixed database role on the publication database.

Retrieving MaxConcurrentDynamicSnapshots is equivalent to executing sp_helpmergepublication.

Setting MaxConcurrentDynamicSnapshots is equivalent to executing sp_addmergepublication or sp_changemergepublication.

The MaxConcurrentDynamicSnapshots property is available with Microsoft SQL Server 2000 and Microsoft SQL Server 2005.

This namespace, class, or member is supported only in version 2.0 of the Microsoft .NET Framework.

Any public static (Shared in Microsoft Visual Basic) members of this type are thread safe. Any instance members are not guaranteed to be thread safe.
