LastPollDate Property

This feature will be removed in a future version of Microsoft SQL Server. Avoid using this feature in new development work, and plan to modify applications that currently use this feature.

The LastPollDate property identifies the most recent date and time at which the referenced target server successfully connected to its master server.

Note

SQL Distributed Management Objects (SQL-DMO) strings are always returned as OLE BSTR objects. A C/C++ application obtains a reference to the string. The application must release the reference using SysFreeString.

Remarks

An instance of Microsoft SQL Server can enlist with a designated master server. Enlisted servers can be targets for administrative tasks initiated by the master. To implement execution of master-initiated, administrative tasks, the enlisted servers connect to the master at defined intervals (polling intervals) and download tasks assigned by the master server.

The value of LastPollDate is a localized string defining a date and time.
