Lesson 3: Running a Report with Parameters (Report Builder)

In this lesson, you will select values for the parameters that you specified in the previous lesson and then you will run the report.

To specify a parameter value

  1. On the View menu, click Run Report.

  2. From the Group drop-down list, select Pacific.

  3. Click View Report.

    The report is rendered and appears similar to the following image.

    When this report is rendered, it returns data for the year that you specified as the default in the previous lesson.

To change a default parameter value

  1. From the Order Year drop-down list, select 2002.

  2. Click View Report.

    The report is rendered and appears similar to the following image.

    When this report is rendered, it returns data for the year that you selected from the parameter drop-down list.
