Creating a Group
This topic describes creating a group as part of managing a speech application in the Microsoft Speech Server (MSS) environment. The group displays the MSS server configuration, whether services are distributed or all on one computer.
To create a group
- Open an MMC console containing the MSS snap-in.
- In the console tree, right-click Microsoft Speech Server and then click Create Group.
- Enter a name for the new group and click OK.
- In the details pane, right-click the new group folder and click Add/Remove Services.
- Click Add, enter the network name of the computer, and ensure the appropriate services are checked.
For a single-server environment, accept the default (both Speech Engine Services and Telephony Application Services). Otherwise select the appropriate service for the computer. Add the Web server later.
- Click OK twice.
The selected services are now displayed in the details pane of the console.
If a selected service is not installed on the specified server, the service will not be added to the group.
