Dialog Speech Controls

  Microsoft Speech Technologies Homepage

Dialog Speech Controls are a set of ASP.NET Web controls designed for building Web applications using Speech Application Language Tags (SALT) technology.

Dialog Speech Controls use grammars of the format defined by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) Speech Recognition Grammar Specification (SRGS). For more information on speech grammars, see the Grammars section. Additionally, the Microsoft Speech Application SDK (SASDK) contains a tool for editing grammars that greatly reduces the effort required to create and maintain speech grammars. For more information, see Creating Grammar Files.

Dialog Speech Controls perform the same types of prompting that are supported by SALT technology. The SASDK contains a prompt editing tool that supports recording and editing speech prompts.
