Gets the external content type by using its name, namespace, and version.

Parameters

• namespace
  Type: System.String

  The namespace of the external content type to get.

• name
  Type: System.String

  The name of the external content type to get.

• version
  Type: System.Version

  The version of the external content type to get.

Return Value

Type: Microsoft.SharePoint.BusinessData.Administration.Entity
The specified external content type.

Exceptions

Exception	Condition
ArgumentNullException	The namespace or name parameter is a null reference (Nothing in Visual Basic).
ArgumentException	The namespace or name contain more than 255 characters.
MetadataObjectNotFoundException	The specified external content type does not exist in the Metadata Store.
