An LobSystem (external system) object represents a data-containing system such as a database, assembly, or workflow. It is not the same as an LobSystemInstance object, which is a specific realization of the system; for example, a SQL database is an external system object, while a SQL database storing code for a specific product is an LobSystemInstance object.
