Scrap % Field, Requisition Line Table
Specifies the scrap percentage of the item to be included on the worksheet line.
If the Scrap % field on the item card is filled in, it means that more materials are being withdrawn from inventory than the production order calls for. For example, if you know that, on average, to produce 100 finished items, you have to produce 105 items and scrap five of them, you would enter 5 as the scrap percentage.
Scrap on the production BOM line will increase the amount of component items picked from inventory without an increase in expected output of the parent part.
