When PromoCodeReservation runs, it renews any promotion code reservations after this amount of time has elapsed since the reservation grant time. Therefore, if a shopping session is prolonged, any promotion code reservations made for the shopper will not expire and will continue to be renewed as long as there is basket activity. This ensures a consistent user experience.
The default value is 20 minutes; there is no upper limit. If you provide a negative number, the smaller default value and i_PromoCodeReservationExpiration_Minutes is used. This value must be greater than zero and less than or equal to i_PromoCodeReservationExpiration_Minutes. As a suggestion, try making the smaller default value two-thirds of the total reservation window.
