Changing the Properties of a Business Data Project

This section provides instructions for changing the various properties of a business data project in Commerce Server Staging (CSS). You change the properties of a staging project if you want to modify some specific aspect of the project based on the staging server role.

Business data projects do not have advanced properties. CSS uses the following properties when staging business data:

• CSS forces the deployment of all files (for pre and post scripts that put files in this directory, all files are moved at the same time).

• CSS does not check the time stamp.

• CSS does not preserve content on the destination server when you delete content from the source server (the business data files only move one time per deployment).

• CSS does not enable timed release.

• CSS skips locked files on source and destination servers.

You cannot change these properties for staging business data.
