Generating a New Encryption Key

After you build an application runtime, you generate new encryption keys using the Profile Key Manager. This is a command-line tool used for managing your encryption keys. Follow instructions to use this tool according to your scenario in Using the Profile Key Manager.
Note
In the Commerce Server Manager, for each application, you will see an option to Generate New Encryption Key. However, this option is used only to generate cookie encryption keys, not profile encryption keys.
