Customer/Item Sales (report)

The Customer/Item Sales report shows a total of the items sold to customers in a given period. The report groups the information by customer.

Value entries for each combination of a customer and an item are summed to calculate the total invoiced quantity, amount, discount, and profit.

The calculated sales amount and profit margins include added costs, such as item charges.

Use cases

Sales representatives use the report to:

  • Identify which items sell the most to customers within a selected period, and prioritize sales efforts.
  • Identify sales trends and adjust sales strategies.
  • Analyze the relationship between discounts, sales amounts, and the volume of item sales.

Sales managers use the report to:

  • Analyze sales performance across customers and items.
  • Determine which items sell the most to customers within a selected period, and prioritize sales efforts.
