Government Department Helps Ensure Safety of Vulnerable Groups with Case Load System

dscf The Department for Children, Schools and Families (DCSF) is responsible for protecting children, young people and vulnerable adults through vetting and barring those working with them. The vetting and barring takes place under three separate schemes so DCSF were running three separate IT systems, which was inefficient, costly to support and a barrier to collaboration.

After implementing a new solution, based on Microsoft Dynamics CRM, DCSF is now able to manage the entire vetting and barring process — from referral through to investigation — in one place, saving them both time and money while also enabling them to offer a better service. You can read the full story in our latest case study to be published but some of the other benefits they are seeing include:

  • Improved internal and external relationship management
  • Easier compliance with government directives to rationalise and improve systems and business processes relating to child protection.
  • Better and more flexible information sharing and collaboration
  • Low total cost of ownership even after replacing the previously used systems that were reaching the end of their lives.
