Introducing our latest SQL Server 2008 Microsoft Certified Master - Ajay Jadoo

Ajay currently works as Senior SQL DBA in London, at Morgan Stanley, one of the leading Investment Banks. He has been at Morgan Stanley for about 3 and a half years now.

He is a SQL Server Subject Matter Expert/Product Specialist in the Global DBA Team. He is one the main points of escalations for troubleshooting complex SQL Server issues and provides guidance and advice to colleagues and users on various aspects of SQL Server and everything related to it.

Moreover, as a leading member of the SQL Server Engineering subgroup, he is responsible for designing and developing TSQL stored procedures and PowerShell scripts to improve the efficiency of the Team by further enhancing the self-service suite for users and extending reporting and automation capabilities, for SQL Server.

Prior to joining Morgan Stanley, Ajay worked for 3 years as a SQL Server DBA at Bank of America, where he joined on the graduate program in 2007. He was placed in the SQL Server DBA team and from that point, he started to develop a real passion and interest for SQL Server.

He has experience with all the SQL Server versions from 2000 to 2012 and some areas which he is really interested in are SQL Server optimization, performance and tuning, automation and database maintenance. While pursuing, the SQL Server 2008 MCM certification, Ajay also achieved the Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE) – Data Platform certification.

Ajay is originally from Mauritius and came to the UK to study at City University, London, where he was granted a half-scholarship. He graduated with a First Class Honours degree in BEng. Computer Systems Engineering.

He lives with his wife in London and apart from SQL Server, his interests and hobbies include football (he is a big fan of Manchester United), Photography, Formula 1, Tennis and going on driving holidays around the UK and Europe.
