MSDN TechTalk Event and LiveStreaming: Building Web Sites Using WebMatrix and Orchard
We are organizing half a day MSDN TechTalk event at Microsoft office in Wallisellen and broadcasting it via LiveStreaming on Tue 25 January 2011 to present two new members of the Microsoft Web Stack family: WebMatrix and Orchard.
WebMatrix is first of all a tool, but at the same time it contains all pieces required in order to quickly build a web site: by installing it on your desktop, you’re using the same powerful Web Server, database engine and frameworks environment that will run your Web site on the Internet, making the transition from development to production, smooth and seamless. WebMatrix does not only allow you to code, test and deploy your own ASP.NET or PHP Web site, but enables you to start as well a new site using the world’s most popular open source apps like DotNetNuke, Umbraco, WordPress or Joomla.
Orchard is a new open source CMS being developed by Microsoft that uses ASP.NET MVC. It is focused on delivering a .NET-based CMS application that will allow users to rapidly create content-driven Websites, and an extensibility framework that will allow developers and customizers to provide additional functionality through module extensions and themes.
For the first time ever, we are offering you two options to join this free of charge TechTalk:
1) You can join the event at Microsoft Switzerland office in Wallisellen or
