Microsoft Ireland: Careers with Windows Live

Microsoft in Ireland [Updated 29 May] Microsoft Ireland's European Development Center (EDC) continues to grow.  Over 100 new research and development positions will be filled in the next 18 months.

A colleague of mine from EDC's Windows Live experience team, Declan Fitzgerald, informs me that the Windows Live team is looking for two software design engineers -- and the timeline is "as soon as possible!"

Here is a link to the first job description on the Microsoft Ireland site.  If you want to follow up, please don't contact me directly about this job.  Follow the link above and read more at the Microsoft Ireland Careers site.

I was going to suggest to Declan that if he wants a developer job in Ireland filled quickly, he should be posting it on the IrishDev.com technical careers board... but then I realized that he already did!

[Update: I've been asked if contracting positions are also available in the EDC.  I've just been informed, from Declan Fitzgerald of the EDC, that "there are no contract roles at present in the EDC.  Everything is full-time perm and probably will stay like this for the foreseeable future... Anyone interseted in the full-time roles can apply to irljobs@microsoft.com simply stating where they heard about the role, what role it is and then attaching their application.  We can take it from there."  Hope that helps - and very best wishes to all applicants!]

Aside: As cool as that mashup could be -- it doesn't seem to display most of the jobs on the irishdev.com site...
