AD RMS and BlackBerry Devices

Our partners GigaTrust and Liquid Machines have extended AD RMS support to BlackBerry devices.  After implementing either company's solution, BlackBerry users in your organization can create and consume protected content using the rights policy templates you have configured for your organization or Do Not Forward protection.  Protected e-mail messages and attachments can be seamlessly sent between client computers and BlackBerry devices.  Protected content can also be seamlessly sent between BlackBerry devices and Windows Mobile 6.0 or later devices that have been configured for AD RMS integration, even if the content was protected using the BlackBerry device. 

Both Liquid Machines and GigaTrust offer AD RMS support for BlackBerry devices as a stand-alone product.  GigaTrust's solution, GigaTrust for BlackBerry, is installed as a separate physical server, which is integrated into your existing BlackBerry Enterprise Server infrastructure.  Liquid Machines Gateway for BlackBerry is a software package that is installed directly onto the BlackBerry Enterprise Server.

Currently, AD RMS support for mobile devices is limited to Windows Mobile 6.0 and later devices and BlackBerry devices, through the help of our partners.
