Hello, I am new to MS Project, using 2007, i can set up projects etc but when i set tasks to 100% complete it does not change the duration of the project, so if a five day task is set to 100% for example, nothing happens to the project end date.Anonymous

When you mark a task as 100% complete you are telling Project that the task happened as planned and is now done. If the task took less time as expected, which it sounds like is what you are saying, and you want to mark it as done you need to set actual duration to the amount of time it actually took and remaining duration to 0. Depending on how your plan is set up this should then change the finish date of your project plan. Note if you are using resources, you should edit Actual Work and Remaining Work.Anonymous
