Yes, Office 2007 SP2 is supported on Win XP SP2 too

The system requirements on the download page for the 2007 Microsoft Office Suite Service Pack 2 (SP2) lists Windows XP Service Pack 3...but that's because that is the latest and greatest for Windows XP.  Windows XP SP2 supports Office 2007 SP2.  Just note that MS support for SP2 of Win XP ends Jul 13 2010.

    Is there any official communication on this?  My statement to a fairly large customer (60K seats) is that they need to have XP SP3 installed based on the information on the download page.  If this is not the case, I need to make a new recommendation but I do not want to do that without an "official" MS statement to back me up. thanks

    I haven't seen an official statement but that is the word from the Microsoft Support Team (that Office 2007 SP2 is supported on Win XP SP2).  My understanding is there is no plan to update the information on the download page.  But that there should be some information about it on this blog http://blogs.technet.com/office_sustained_engineering/. I'll update this blog post once I get more information.

    And regarding Vitalie's post- The RSS feed did get switched over to full post.  Apparently there is some other way for us to get the stats...Learn something new every day. :)

    Thanks for the feedback Vitalie. We can't track how many people read a post if we enable the full post for the feed.  So it's a matter of being able to gauge what people are finding as useful/interesting topics by looking at the hit counts for each post.   Sorry for the inconvenience... :(

    Hi guys! Short feedback from me: can you configure your feed to show all post content and not only few lines of text? Recently I came from a journey and had no internet access so I used my phone modem to update my feeds only, because roaming internet access is too expensive. My disappointment had no limit when I connected again just to find out that this post has one more sentence… What’s the business reason of not enabling full post for your feed? Thanks!
