Let's hear it for your fellow students
What were your fellow students working on last year? Here are a couple of my favorites, a Bed-Mounted Laptop and the Titan Racers Game … orange, orange. Do you want to share a project you’re working on? Send me an email at divein@microsoft.com
Think you’re lazy? Rob Douglas of Vanderbilt University shows us how to do lazy college-style. He created a gliding laptop mount for his bed. No more endless burn from sitting with your laptop.
The Channel 8 forums suggest many of you find yourselves on Xbox many hours of the day but that’s not what I had in mind. Some students have really picked up the pace making games with XNA. Mehmet Akkurt and the Video Game Design Club at California State Fullerton developed a game called Titan Racers. Titan Racers is a race through a replica of their student union where you collect oranges as you go. Andrew Grapsas is a student at Stevens Institute of Technology and blogging about game development for the Imagine Cup Game Development Competition. He has yet to post his game, although it may be a secret until the competition deadline.
While some students were focusing on specific projects, Nikita Polyakov earned an MVP award was busy evangelizing his favorite Microsoft technologies. Congrats Nikita!
