Asked: Do we still have drivers which are common for both user level and kernel level ?
Answered: What drivers are you talking about?
Asked: Hardware device drivers etc. E.G. in this presentation, i just heard that the printer dirvers have been moved into user mode and now there is a clear segmentation between kernel mode drivers and user mode drivers. I just wanted to ask, if there are still drivers remaining which run at both level ?

Asked: Heuristics eliminate the need to update the filter periodically?
Answered Privately: No because the attributes that indicate a potential threat are evolving and in flux...he's talking about the options now.
Asked: Can malware edit the phishing filter?
Answered: No…at least not yet.
Asked: Is Protected Mode always turned on?

Asked: How is the phishing filter subscription going to be handled for corporate customers who do not want all their machines going to Microsoft to check?
Answered: I'm not sure, but I suspect there is a group policy
Asked: Can the outbound Firewall configuration be centrally-administered through Active Directory? If so, when will the Group Policy templates be available to expose/manipulate this?
Answered: yes there are more Firewall policies in Vista
Asked: so, IPsec policies and firewall rules are combined in this single console?
Answered Privately: yes, hes working with the tool right now
Asked: My Company is considering the Business Edition which does not include Bitlocker Drive Encryption - Will the Business Edition include some type of other Encryption software such as in XP?

Asked: There have been various editions of Windows Vista. What version of Vista does this presentation apply?
Answered: He’s using Ultimate Edition... but most of what he's demonstrating is consumer level stuff available in all or most versions.
Asked: How does the Windows Firewall determine which Profile (Domain, Private, Public) it is connected to? Specifically, how does the computer know if it should connect in Domain profile mode?

Short answer, If a Domain Controller is available for Authentication the Domain Profile is used, if not the Public Profile is used and if a VPN Connection is established the Private Profile is invoked.
Asked: Will Windows Vista come with the Windows OneCare Firewall (as in a two-way firewall) or will it come with the current Windows Firewall which is only a one-way firewall for incoming items?

Asked: Does NAP work for external users (consultants, advisors...) or does it work just for domain-member computers?

Asked: I was having trouble having questions show up but now they are.
Answered: Questions only appear in the text window after having been answered. You may have only one question pending at a time and if you change the question your original question is taken out of the queue. You kept bumping your own questions out.
