AITP Lehigh Valley to Meet

 

Lehigh Valley Chapter AITP (Association of Information Technology Professionals) in partnership with Muhlenberg College and Service Electric will provide a live technology tour of the City of Allentown’s 911 Communications Center.  Below are details of the event.

Topic:  Technology Tour of Allentown’s 911 Communications Center

 

Presenters:  Captain Dan Warg, Allentown Police Department

                   John O’Keefe, Superintendent of Communications

 

Summary:  Captain Warg and his team will showcase the state-of-the-art technologies used in a modern communications center, the central nerve for public safety in the City of Allentown.  You will see first-hand how 9-1-1 dispatchers use technology to save lives and protect property.  You will also learn how, through the use of integrated technology solutions, it is possible to share intelligence and law enforcement information in real time.

Captain Warg is a 25 year law enforcement veteran.  He is responsible for Allentown’s Public Safety Communications and Technology Services, and serves as the 911 Center Commander.

John O’Keefe is a 30+ year veteran of Public Safety Communications.
