Sysinternals Live

In the latest TechNet newsletter, there's a piece about running Sysinternals tools from the web without needing to install them:

If you're a fan of the Sysinternals tools, check out the beta of Sysinternals Live, a service that makes it easy for you to execute Sysinternals tools directly from the web without hunting for and manually downloading them. Simply enter a tool's Sysinternals live path into Windows Explorer, or at the command prompt as live.sysinternals.comtools<toolname> or view the entire Sysinternals Live tools directory in a browser.

This sounds a lovely idea. A bit more detail can be found in https://live.sysinternals.com/About_This_Site.txt

What is this? This is a file share allowing access to all Sysinternals utilities. We have developed this to test an alternate distribution mechanism for our utilities. This will allow you to run these tools from any computer connected to the Internet without having to navigate to a webpage, download and extract the zip file. If you are unfamiliar with Microsoft Windows Sysinternals, it is highly recommended that you visit the website at https://technet.microsoft.com/sysinternals before using these tools. If you have any questions or comments on this file share, please email syssite@microsoft.com. Regards, The Microsoft Windows Sysinternals Team
