Got Workloads? Git-R-Done faster with the new Parallel Processing capabilities in NET 4.0 and Visual Studio 2010

Thanks to everyone who came out to the South Florida Architecture Group meeting on May 18,2010 to see my presentation on Parallel Processing with .NET 4.0 and Visual Studio 2010.   

With the constant hardware advances happening today, you would really have to search hard to find a good laptop, desktop, or server that doesn’t come with more than one processor in the box...but did you realize that unless you write your code differently, your application will still only use (1) processor to get the job done?

Prior to the release of  .NET 4.0 and Visual Studio 2010, the domain of Parallel Processing was accessible to only a few brave souls who had the expertise and time to create low-level applications that could truly take advantage of multiple processors – the bar was very high in terms of skills and resources required to actually create these types of high-performance applications. 

Now, with .NET 4.0 and Visual Studio 2010, Parallel Processing capabilities are now readily accessible to Architects and Developers – see my previous blog post for more details.
