Sony Ericsson - announce a Windows Mobile device!

At last it's public!  Sony Ericsson have just announced their first Windows Mobile device the XPERIA™ X1.

This a very exciting announcement for Windows Mobile and Sony Ericsson! The Xperia X1 is a QuadBand GSM/EDGE device with UMTS/HSDPA and HSUPA.  It also has a a 3-inch wide VGA (800 x 480) touchscreen display,  a 3.2 megapixel camera, A2DP Bluetooth, aGPS, WiFi, and microSD

With a 4-way key and optical joystick as well as an arc-sliding QWERTY Keyboard input options are plentiful!

With Sony Ericsson now on board Windows Mobile is now available through 4 of the Top 5 Handset manufacturers in the world!

    I can't believe SonyEricsson have got involved with Microsoft (especially given the XBox vs Playstation situation), they must be seriously hacked off with Symbian. This has to be bad news for both Symbian and HTC.

    Or it could be good news for HTC as they are the ones making the device for Sony Ericsson....

    Ah, I hadn't read that anywhere. I was looking forward to devices with the hardware quality (and camera quality) that SE usually come up with, but with Windows Mobile instead of Symbian on.
