How to free AVIcode Intercept Studio Agent licenses to be used on other computers

Summary

When an AVIcode Intercept Studio Agent is uninstalled from a computer, the license that was associated with that Agent does not automatically become available to apply to an Agent on another computer.

This article describes the process required to free an Agent license to be used on another computer.

Follow the steps below to uninstall an AVIcode Intercept Studio Agent and free the Agent license:

  1. Open a support case with Microsoft Product Support to acquire a revoke license (support cases can be opened via https://support.microsoft.com/oas).
  2. Save the license file received from Microsoft Product Support to a desired location on your computer.
  3. Uninstall the AVIcode Intercept Studio Agent as outlined in the product documentation.
  4. Navigate to your AVIcode Intercept Studio SEViewer site (default = https://server/SEViewer).
  5. Click on Tools then click on Options... .
  6. Click on the Data tab and uncheck Assign licenses automatically then click on OK.
  7. Click on Tools then click on Licenses... .
  8. Click on Add license then click on Next.
  9. Click on I already have a license file then click on Next.
  10. Click on Browse... then navigate to the location where you saved your license data in step 3 then click on Next.
  11. Click on Next again then click on Finish.
  12. Click on Tools then click on Licenses... .
  13. Click on Revoke license then click on Next.
  14. Select the computer(s) for which you wish to revoke the license and click on Next.
  15. Review the list of computers to have the license revoked and click on Next to confirm.
  16. Once the licenses have been revoked, click on Finish.
  17. Click on Tools then click on Options... .
  18. Click on the Data tab and check Assign licenses automatically then click on OK.

If it helps, you can find a copy of the license file attached below.  Simply rename it from TXT to XML before using.
