MCMS 2002 Connector for SharePoint Technologies ("Spark")

I just got back from Europe tonight. France was great --- but it feels good to be home again.

”Spark”, the MCMS 2002 Connector for SharePoint Technologies, released this past week! For the download, go to https://www.microsoft.com/cmserver/default.aspx?url=/cmserver/downloads/sharepointconnector

For an overview of the connector, go to https://www.microsoft.com/office/sharepoint/prodinfo/cms2002connector.mspx

Lastly, I'm doing a webcast on Spark on March 3rd. Following this webcast, we will have a series of developer webcasts on Spark. Webcast information can be found at https://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=23449

    Hi,

I have beend oing some research on using SharePoint in the Intranet & MCMS for the Internet lately.

Something alarming is that you need to buy an 'external connector licence' > $50k AUD if you want ANY sharepoint Data to be fed out to the internet.

    Is there anyway around this?

    Cheers
    Angus

    Hello Angus,

You do need the External Connector License if you want to provide services to non-employees. A non-employee is a person who is not an employee, or similar personnel of the company or its affiliates, and is not someone to whom you provide hosted services using the server software.
