In Place upgrade of BizTalk 2010 to
BizTalk 2013 does not update the Microsoft.BizTalk.GlobalPropertySchemas

 

Symptom

Considering the following Scenario:

You plan to do in-place upgrade of BizTalk 2010 to
BizTalk 2013 via the document Upgrading
to BizTalk Server 2013 from BizTalk Server 2010-2009.

In this scenario, you may find that the in-place upgrade does not;

Add the SBMessaging.SBMessagingBrokerMessagePropertySchema
to list of schemas that the BizTalkManagement database as shown in Fig1.  This makes it impossible to receive messages

Add the new WCF properties for example
WCF.HttpHeaders.

Fresh Install BizTalk 2013 (WCF.HttpHeaders message property and
SBMessaging.SBBrokeredMessagePropertySchema present)

In this case, we are not able to use WCF-WebHTTP adapter and the
SB-Messaging Adapter in BizTalk server 2013.

Cause

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in BizTalk server 2013.
