Set Authorization Manager options

To set Authorization Manager options

Open Authorization Manager.
In the console tree, right-click Authorization Manager, and then click Options.
In the Options dialog box, click either Developer mode or Administrator mode.

Notes

To open Authorization Manager, click Start, click Run, and then type: azman.msc
In developer mode, you can create, deploy, and maintain applications. With developer mode, you have unrestricted access to all features.
In administrator mode, you can deploy and maintain applications. With administrator mode, you have access most Authorization Manager features. In administrator mode, you cannot do the following:
- Create new authorization stores
- Create new applications
- Define or modify operations
- Change an application name
- Change the version information for an application
Administrator mode is the default. Before you can use administrator mode, you need to provide an application that supports roles, includes all of the necessary operation and task definitions, includes its own authorization store, and is ready for use in Authorization Manager. After you set up an application in developer mode, you do not have to use Authorization Manager in developer mode for that application. You can work in authorization mode instead.
