Using a dial-up connection to access a terminal server

If you have remote access to a network that contains terminal servers, you can access those terminal servers using a dial-up connection from a remote location.

To use remote access to connect to a terminal server, you must first configure a dial-up connection on your computer. Then you can connect to the network where the terminal server resides and use Remote Desktop Connection to create a connection to the terminal server itself. You can then log on to the terminal server as usual.

Administrators can grant users the ability to reconnect to a session if the connection is broken, for example, if a phone connection is interrupted.
