Task list headings

The following table describes the output from the Special Administration Console (SAC) T command, which lists the processes and threads currently running.

Task list heading Description

User Time

The amount of user-mode time charged to a process since the last time the computer was restarted.

Kernel Time

The amount of kernel-mode time charged to a process since the last time the computer was restarted.

ws

Working set, or the amount of physical memory assigned to a process by the operating system.

Faults

The page faults that have occurred since the last time the computer was restarted. A page fault is an interrupt that occurs when software attempts to read from or write to a virtual memory location that is marked not present.

Commit

The amount of memory that a process is using.

Pri

The default thread priority.

Hnd

The number of handles charged to a process.

Thd

The thread count.

Pid

The process identifier (PID) or numerical identifier that uniquely distinguishes a process while it runs.

Name

The name of the process.
