Audit an application

Applies To: Windows Server 2003, Windows Server 2003 R2, Windows Server 2003 with SP1, Windows Server 2003 with SP2

To audit an application

  1. Open Authorization Manager.

  2. In the console tree, right-click the application that you want to audit, and then click Properties.

    Where?

    • Authorization Manager/Authorization store/Application
  3. In the Properties dialog box, click the Auditing tab, and then do any of the following:

    • To audit runtime client context and access checks, select the Runtime client context and access check auditing check box.

    • To audit authorization store changes, select the Authorization store change auditing check box. This check box only exists for authorization stores that are stored in Active Directory.

Notes

  • To open Authorization Manager, click Start, click Run, and then type: azman.msc

  • To audit your applications, you must have specific privileges and security settings. For more information, see Related Topics.

  • To perform this procedure, you need to use an authorization store that contains an application. For more information, see Related Topics.
