Program compatibility
Many programs, particularly older ones, were not designed for multisession use. As a result, some programs need to be tuned before they can run on a terminal server.
Microsoft provides installation scripts for some programs that have known installation issues. Run the scripts after the application installation process is complete and before running the application the first time.
Application compatibility scripts
Many commonly used applications have been tested for compatibility with Terminal Server. For maximum performance on a terminal server, some applications require minor changes after installation. Scripts are available for these applications and must be run after the application installation is complete. The scripts are located in systemroot in \Application Compatibility Scripts\Install.
Many newer applications, such as Microsoft Office XP, do not require modification to work properly with Terminal Server. For information about specific applications requiring modification for compatibility with Terminal Server, see the Microsoft Web Site.

- For information about specific script capabilities and how to modify them for custom installations, refer to the notes within the script for the application you are installing. You can modify scripts by using a text editor such as Notepad.
