This section describes the modem INF file entries that create registry values under the ISDN subkey to support ISDN-TA modems.

The ISDN\SwitchType entry defines a series of registry keys that store AT commands. Each of these commands configures the ISDN modem for use with a particular type of switch. |
The ISDN\DirectoryNo entry specifies the AT command sent to the ISDN modem to set the directory number (US Switch Types). |
The ISDN\SetSpid entry specifies the AT commands that are used to set the service provider identification number as required by certain US switch types. |
The ISDN\SetMSN entry specifies commands that set the ISDN modem to answer incoming calls directed towards particular MSNs. These commands are issued in conjunction with ISDN\SwitchType, SWITCH_DSS1 during static configuration. |
The ISDN\SetEAZ entry defines commands issued to set EAZ (Endgerateauswahlziffer). EAZs are used by German 1TR6 switches. |
The ISDN\Init entry defines the commands that are sent to initialize the ISDN modem. |
The CompatibilityFlags entry is used to change the order in which configuration information is sent to the ISDN modem during static configuration. |
The ISDN\Protocol INF file entries enable the corresponding protocols to be selected in the user interface (see Data Connection Preferences) and indicated through TAPI and Unimodem. ISDN supports a large number of B channel protocols. Windows 2000 allows users and communications applications (for example, RAS) to select them dynamically. When a protocol is selected in the user interface, Unimodem issues the corresponding AT commands before originating a call as part of a sequence of commands that set response format and presentation, carrier-detect on, and so forth. Note that this entry does not set a direct mode. The rate is the DCE-DCE rate, not the DTE-DCE rate. |
The ISDN\NvSave entry defines AT commands that are used to configure the ISDN modem for storage of the current configuration in NvRAM. This entry will always store ISDN\init and ISDN\SwitchType. Depending on the switch type, it may also store MSN, EAZs, SPIDs, and directory number. |
