HWPutBytes (Windows CE 5.0)

Send Feedback

This function writes bytes to hardware. It is called by a driver.

ULONG HWPutBytes(PVOID pContext,PUCHAR pSrc,ULONG NumberOfBytes,PULONG pBytesSent);

Parameters

  • pContext
    [in] Pointer to a context structure returned by the HWInit function that contains implementation-specific data describing the device.
  • pSrc
    [in] Pointer to the bytes to be sent.
  • NumberOfBytes
    [in] Specifies the number of bytes to be sent.
  • pBytesSent
    [out] Pointer to the actual number of bytes written.

Return Values

This function returns zero or the minimum number of milliseconds before the upper layer should call again.

Remarks

This function is used if the device does not support interrupt-based indications of changes in the status of hardware flow-control lines. The upper layer calls again to see if the flow-control condition has been removed.

This function supports the implementation of the lower layers of serial port drivers.

Requirements

OS Versions: Windows CE 1.0 and later.
