RAM-Based Registry (Windows CE 5.0)

Send Feedback

With the RAM-based registry, all data is stored in the object store. This means that it is persistent as long as the RAM is refreshed, but lost if the RAM is not powered. The RAM-based registry is efficient on target devices that warm-boot often but inefficient on target devices that often cold boot. It is best suited for single-user target devices with battery-backed RAM or with a lack of persistent storage to use.
