In Windows Embedded Compact 2013, you can add support for the Firewall Service, which filters unwanted network activity.

Hardware and Software Requirements

Requires Windows Filter Platform (WFP) (SYSGEN_NET_WFP). For more information, see WFP Catalog Items and Sysgen Variables.
Requires DCOM (SYSGEN_DCOM). For more information, see COM and DCOM Catalog Items and Sysgen Variables.

The following table describes the catalog items and SYSGEN variables that you can use to add Firewall Service support to your OS.
