Windows Embedded Compact 2013 provides the Platform Builder toolset, which customizes the Visual Studio integrated development environment (IDE). This enables you to build customized OS designs based on Compact 2013.
Using Platform Builder, you can design, create, build, test, and debug a Compact 2013–based OS design. The IDE provides an integrated workspace where you can work on both OS designs and subprojects.
