Drivers in an OS Design (Compact 2013)

Drivers in an OS Design

In contrast to catalog items, most drivers are included in a board support package (BSP) specific manner through a combination of Sysgen variables and BSP variables.

To determine which drivers are supported by your OS design and your BSP, the last stage of the IDE dependency analysis compares the list of core OS modules in your OS design with the list of BSP variables set by the batch file for the BSP you are using.

The IDE then automatically displays these drivers as indirectly included catalog items in your OS design.

Determine the Catalog Items That Are Included in an OS Design

After you create an OS design (.pbxml file) in Platform Builder, you can determine which catalog items are included in your OS design.

To determine the catalog items that are included in an OS Design

  1. On the File menu, click Open, and then click Project/Solution.

  2. Select your OS design (.pbxml) file, and then click Open.

  3. In the Catalog Items View window, click Filter, and then click User-selected Catalog Items and Dependencies.

If the Catalog Items View window does not appear, on the View menu, click Other Windows, and then click Catalog Items View.

  4. To view the catalog items in your OS design, expand the nodes in the catalog item tree.

The catalog items in your design are grouped by category, using the same structure as the catalog. The items are also differentiated by icons for each status type.
