Custom Components (Windows CE 5.0)
To add DVR functionality to your device, you will need to provide the following components in addition to those supplied by Microsoft.
- A Board Support Package (BSP) for the platform with the necessary drivers. This might include a Digital Video Broadcast (DVB) tuner, network drivers, and analog television receivers.
- A custom application to control the media playback and recording. This includes user interface code to allow the user to control recording and playback.
- Other necessary modules to interact with an embedded program guide (EPG), recording scheduler, and the integration of related components for recording management.
- DirectShow filters to decode MPEG-2 video.
The DVR application must also manually insert the Audio Lip Sync Filter into the DVR playback graph.
