Catalog Item Icon Types (Windows CE 5.0)

The Catalog window and the OSDesignView tab contain a number of icons used to represent object types. The icons make it possible for you to differentiate between Catalog item objects at a glance.

The following table shows the icons used to represent Catalog objects.

Aa448729.catcoreosico(en-us,MSDN.10).gif Core OS design.
Aa448729.typeic(en-us,MSDN.10).gif Catalog item group.
Aa448729.impic(en-us,MSDN.10).gif Implementation.
Aa448729.catfeature(en-us,MSDN.10).gif Required Catalog item.
Aa448729.catopfeature(en-us,MSDN.10).gif Optional Catalog item.
Aa448729.catexclude(en-us,MSDN.10).gif Catalog item, type, or implementation excluded from the current OS design.

The Add to OS Design command is not available for Catalog items that are excluded by the OS design choice.

Aa448729.foldic(en-us,MSDN.10).gif Folder.
Aa448729.threecyl(en-us,MSDN.10).gif Catalog properties for a Catalog item type. Pertains to this icon and other icons with three cylinders.
Aa448729.twocyl(en-us,MSDN.10).gif Catalog properties for a specific implementation of a Catalog item. Pertains to this icon and other icons with two cylinders.

The following table shows the icons used to represent OSDesignView objects.

Aa448729.typeic(en-us,MSDN.10).gif Catalog item group.
Aa448729.feavwunanchoredfeature(en-us,MSDN.10).gif Catalog item that is a dependency of another, so it is included in the OS design during the build process.
Aa448729.feavwnotificationico(en-us,MSDN.10).gif Catalog item that has one or more special notifications.
Aa448729.feavwproject(en-us,MSDN.10).gif Project.
Aa448729.feavwsourcecodefile(en-us,MSDN.10).gif Source code file.
Aa448729.foldic(en-us,MSDN.10).gif Folder.

The following table shows the symbols that can provide more information about an OSDesignView object, using the Catalog item icon as an example.

Icon Description
Aa448729.feavwfeatureico(en-us,MSDN.10).gif User-specified Catalog item.

These are Catalog items that you select for inclusion in a run-time image, either by manual selection from the Catalog, or by using the New Platform Wizard.

Aa448729.feavwimgexclude(en-us,MSDN.10).gif Catalog item that can be built but is excluded from the run-time image.
Aa448729.iconcat(en-us,MSDN.10).gif Catalog item excluded from the build and the run-time image.
Aa448729.sourcelink(en-us,MSDN.10).gif Source code link.

These are DIRS or SOURCES files that are used to build the associated component.
